Expression

Words on pages, moving over lips,

Fixed on buildings, behind movies in scripts;

Great images fly, mind to mind, between blinks of the inner eye,

Surfaces hold great opportunities for lines

Of all types, of all dimensions, a myriad of ways they combine.

Abstract to simple, understood or neglected,

The artist breaths for their work to be perfected.

But one observer can not reign unless received by another,

A connection spanning from enemy to lover.

Over aeons, generations, bridges are continually built;

The feats and stories of man wound finer than silk,

A result of vast seas on which the individual floats,

Subjected to currents, waves and storms we defy all hope;

Against all odds, these vast distances test,

One wish keeps us going, our desire to express.
